Game Outline & Pillars
In Natural Killer Cell you play as Elsa, a combat trained scientist on a offworld planet on her way to work when the facility is shaken and attacked by unknown alien creatures. It is up to you to get through the aliens and figure out how to stop them.
The game is a straight forward shooter with no extraordinary mechanics outside the basic movement, shooting, crouching and jumping. It attempts to capture the feel that older shooters such as Doom or early Source engine games gave as well as trying to get some comedic and light hearted elements in.
Contrasts
A blend of cute and creepy monsters and environment as a game theme
Intense Shooter
A blend of intense shooting with calmer moments blending the shooting from Doom and exploration from Half-Life
A world with a story
Game world with environmental storytelling that has the details for the world history to be discovered.
